Licence B is the most common licence in Israel β the one for private passenger cars and light vehicles, and the licence most new drivers earn first. Its theory test (tioria) is usually your first official step toward the wheel: a multiple-choice exam whose questions all come from the Ministry of Transport's official bank, filtered to exactly what a private-car driver needs to know on the road.
The questions fall into four areas, and every one of them maps onto everyday driving in a private car. Traffic rules cover right-of-way at junctions and roundabouts, overtaking, speed limits and parking; road signs span the full set you'll meet in town and on the highway; safety focuses on seatbelts, stopping distance, fatigue and defensive driving; and vehicle knowledge explains the basic systems β brakes, tyres, lights and dashboard warning lamps.
With Move you can prepare for the exact Licence B bank, free and with no sign-up. Practise by topic to shore up your weakest area, read a clear explanation on every question that teaches the logic behind the answer, and let the smart review queue bring back precisely the questions you got wrong. A readiness meter shows when you're genuinely prepared, and you can study in English or any of six supported languages.
Frequently asked questions
How is the Licence B theory test structured?
It's a multiple-choice exam: each question shows several options and you pick the correct one. Every question is drawn from the Ministry of Transport's official bank and filtered to what's relevant for a private-car driver. On Move you practise from that same pool with an explanation on each question, so you don't just memorise the answer β you understand why it's right, which is what holds up in the real test.
Which topics matter most for Licence B?
All four areas are tested, but for a private-car driver the heaviest weight sits on traffic rules and road signs β right-of-way, behaviour at junctions and roundabouts, speeds and parking β because those are the situations you meet every day. Safety and vehicle knowledge are tested more at the level of principles. On Move you can see how many questions sit in each topic and aim your practice where it counts.
Can I study for the theory test in my language?
Yes. Move shows every question and explanation in six languages β Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, English, French and Spanish β and you can switch at any time. Study the material in your mother tongue to grasp it deeply, then practise in Hebrew too so you get used to the wording the questions actually use. That's especially helpful for new drivers still learning the terms.
How will I know I'm ready for the test?
Move's readiness meter tracks your accuracy in each topic and gives you an honest picture of where you stand. When you answer consistently across all four areas, clear full-length mock exams with confidence, and the review queue stops handing back questions you got wrong, that's the sign you're ready to book the real test. Until then, keep drilling your weak topics.
